The Weekend of "Click"

Wow! So all of the sudden this weekend many of the things Riley has been on the "cusp" of doing finally "clicked". And GiGi was here to witness it!!

Let me see....what were all the "clicks" this weekend:
  1. All Done - He's definitely doing the sign for All Done now....mainly when he's finished eating.
  2. More - He's definitely doing the sign for More when he's eating.
  3. He FINALLY waved! I've been waiting for this one FOREVER it seems like! He was definitely a late bloomer on that one. And he waves across his entire body not just a little hand wave.
  4. He took 2 steps with his little push car - he normally literally pushes it around walking on his knees.
  5. He started "standing" on his own and balancing for at least a few seconds.
  6. One he's been doing for maybe a week is that he can crawl up on the sofa at his leisure. He has no fear, so I'm just waiting for him to crawl right back off onto his face!
  7. This one isn't such a good first, but OMG he all of the sudden turned into a MAJOR whiner this weekend too! We keep thinking it's his 1 year molors - I wish those darn things would just BREAK through already!! Then I thought he was being clingy because I've been having to work a lot, but this weekend - he was just whiney all around about EVERY thing! None stop! Hopefully whatever is bothering him will pass soon!
  8. And....he can throw and spike the football! His little baby football of course, but nonetheless! Made Daddy happy on the NFL season opener day.
Speaking of...everything is finalized! Kelly and I are going to see the Pittsburgh Steelers play the San Diego Chargers on Oct 4th at Heinz Field. This was part of his Father's Day present, but it took me a while to get it all coordinated. Initially, we were going to go to the season opener this past Thursday night, but I found out my project was scheduled to "go live" that weekend, so I knew that wasn't a good idea! We pushed going live to next weekend, but this definitely would NOT have been a good week for me to try to go out of town! Ironically, I'm going to the Cowboys Monday Night Football game on Sept 28th to a company suite with a company from work, so I'll get to go to 2 NFL games in one week! Pretty cool!

Let me see...other than my job being crazy with the last mile of my big project....things are pretty much status quo around here! Excluding this past weekend of 1sts! He's going to get up and run across the room at any moment! I just know it! Stay tuned......

Go Riley Go! Nicholas has walking down pretty well. Unfortnately, he's also good at climbing on furnuture, pulling curtains, and drooling (the boy must have a hole in his lip).
