Sweet Little Muahs!! My oh my!

These deserve a post all on their own! All of the sudden Riley is a LOVER BOY! He will dish out muahs (these are kisses) left and right! He even tried to kiss a little boy at the indoor playground with Ms. Emily a while back! She said he was leaning in, and she was hoping it was going to be a kiss instead of a hit!

He gives Kelly and I kisses, but only about 1 out of every 10 requests we make! I'll take everyone I can get though!! OMG! They are so sweet!

And now....poor "B" (his Valentine's Bear that he has named "BEEEE") and Puppy (his puppy that says his Now I lay me down to sleep prayer), get mauled with kisses every morning and night or really anytime we go into his room!! So much their poor little mouths are getting dingy! Of course, he's decided to be attached to the 2 stuffed animals I have NO way of getting "back ups" of!! And probably the most toxic ones I'm sure! He's shown no interest in the organic ones I bought of course!

He actually just recently even started to pay attention to stuffed animals since he's hit the Lover Boy phase. Before that, he never even looked their way so we'll see how long it lasts!

Sweet Kisses!!!

OMG!! FINALLY! I got my 1st kiss yesterday!! I think I blogged about how every day when I come home I squat down and say give me a hug and a kiss. And Riley will walk over to me and back his booty into my chest and let me hug and kiss him! Yesterday to my surprise he turned around and planted a BIG, SLOPPY WET, WIDE OPENED MOUTH kiss right on my lips!! OMG! It was the SWEETEST thing!!! I was like OMG! Kelly he just gave me a kiss! Then he leaned right back in and gave me a closed mouth kiss with the "muah" sound too! So I figured it might be a fluke, but I got one tonight when I got home too! Not RIGHT when I walked in the door, but a few minutes later when I was down on the floor with him! Then he gave Kelly one as we were getting him ready for bed tonight!

This has to be one of the top parental nirvana states! I'm getting kisses!! And he's not talking back yet!! I gotta soak this up while I can!!!

And I SWEAR he's saying a new word almost every day! Today Emily said he said "Camden" when her son Camden walked by while Riley was having his snack! And I'm not lying...I SWEAR he said "washing machine" this past weekend! He helps me do laundry every weekend, and I said let's go open the washing machine, and he repeated washing machine open. Like he was processing what I said in reverse order in his brain. That was just a "repeater" though - Camden was a whole new word!

Two New Words!

So this weekend Riley started saying car or really "cah" as Emily put it! And he also said "Kitty Kitty" at Emily's house because she has 2 cats.

He's had "ball" down for a while and with his new basketball goal - that one is only becoming more popular! And now Dad is teaching him to SCREAM when he dunks the ball! GREAT! And of course, he's getting that down pat!!

And anything is fair game for being "dunked"! Just a few of the items that I've seen "dunked" are shoes, Chicken Dance Elmo, football, tennis ball, basketball, car, book and sippy cup. Pretty much anything that happens to be in his hand or within arms reach when he decides "I haven't dunked in a while"!

I also think he gives kisses, but just not your conventional type of kisses!! LOL! I noticed a while back he would hold his mouth open and say "Ma" as he was touching his mouth to you. Then I noticed when I kiss him I saw "Muah" "Muah", so that's probably what he is doing! He won't do it on demand when you ask for a kiss, but he will do it when he wants to! I'll take kisses from him ANYTIME in ANYWAY!!
